Working with Zip Theatre's team of experienced professionals, young people will be involved in the fun and excitement of putting together a brand new show by the end of the week.

 

During the week everyone takes part in drama games, improvisations, script writing and rehearsals in preparation for the performance. In meeting the challenge of appearing on stage in front of an audience, young people will develop new skills and self confidence while making friends and having holiday fun.

 

The performance will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon

and family and friends of the cast are invited to enjoy the show for free.

 

As well as acting and learning lines, children will be singing and dancing in their very own knock-out performance of Hogwarts The Musical.

 

People taking part in the Holiday Theatre Workshop will need to wear comfortable clothing, including trainers or jazz shoes, that they can move around in freely - including rolling on the floor.

There will be a supervised half-hour lunch break.

Children should bring packed lunches.

Liquid refreshment will be provided free of charge.

 

Workshops start promptly at 10:00 am, and it's important to be on time. Zip's creative team are talented, friendly and very experienced at working with children. All are CRB checked and we ensure that young people work in a safe and secure environment at Zip Theatre's professionally-equipped rehearsal studio at the Newhampton Arts Centre.

 

Zip Theatre, founded in 1980, has an outstanding track record of successful professional theatre-in-education work and we are dedicated to providing quality training in the arts for young people.
